Welcome back to Emmerdale Live and Organized! In case you haven’t been here before here is what happens. I watch the episode and write down my thoughts as it comes to me in an organized fashion. It’s like a live look inside my brain while watching Emmerdale. Not as crazy as it sounds. Unless you want it to be. *wink*
Let’s crack on!
The Ross Saga Goes On and On and On and On (Part Two: Hostage edition)
Since I really don’t give a flying frack about Ross, Joe, or Debbie I’m going to talk about Michael Parr. This will get me some hate but oh well. My blog. My words. Don’t have to like it. SO, Mike Parr has quit. Which my first reaction was, finally. First, he never seemed happy. He was such an ass on twitter about so many things people thought he was joking about (he wasn’t especially when he called fans stupid for liking a couple. Sorry honey, Dross BLOWS. Might blow harder than Joe and Debbie). He wasn’t really being used or developed past ‘village idiot and baby maker.’ I mean, I feel like, after watching 2013, he hasn’t grown at all. As a character or an actor. He is the same idiot Barton that we met all those years ago. I’d want out too.
I don’t like Ross and I won’t miss him when he is gone. I feel bad for Pete though. He is the last Barton. Since Isaac is a Dingle. Moira married into the Barton name. So, Pete is the only one left. Better start having those babies Pete, or do you think the Barton’s are going to be extinct? Make way for a new family. Jessie’s family? Hmmmmm….makes one think.
Did you guys see that moment where Ross was trying to say that Debbie loves him more than Joe? It was like a douchebag fight of the century. Debbie is close to death and those two are arguing about who she loves more. Its so dumb. SO DUMB. You both are pretty boys. Debbie is no prize to be won and neither are you two.
I feel like Joe is in limbo right now. At the mercy of the old going into the new showrunners. I sense he won’t be paced or written well until they find a place for him to go. Right now, he is floundering and I think we lost the plot with him. He is there for revenge against Charity and the Dingles. If I was running the show I would turn Debbie and Joe into Romeo and Juliet and keep them apart. Let them get close. Pull them apart. Create a want. A need for each other. Let the audience see all the sides of Joe while this happens. Develop him as he falls from revenge slowly and into love. The show kind of PLOPPED him there for the sake of Ross drama.
Graham is awesome. Always and forever. I have a steady crush now. I will be stanning Graham. Lets all be aware of that.
Belle and Lachlan
I liked that Lydia asked the question I was waiting for.
“What do you want?”
That’s what I needed to hear. What does Belle want? This isn’t about what Lachlan or Sam wants for her or themselves. Its about her. What does Belle want for herself and her life. She is so young and can do anything she wants. I’m glad Lydia got her talking and gave her some good advice.
Speaking of Lydia (My heart. My soul. I love her) she is wacky and a bit looney but she wasn’t wrong about grief. Its better to talk about it (good and bad) than let it sit there heavy in your chest. The more you swallow it down the worse it gets. I liked that they let Lydia talk and help out in some many ways. My girl is awesome.
Again, Lachlan is a multi-dimension villain and I applaud the show for that. He is just….very interesting. I keep saying that I know but there is so much going on there that when it explodes (and it will) it will be one hell of a show.
Aaron planning the funeral is odd but I’ll take it. I think Liv knew him longer than Aaron. Lachlan even longer but it gives us some interesting moments, so I won’t nitpick that. Doug though. He is breaking my heart. That feeling has to be heavy in the soul. In the heart. Thinking you killed someone (even if it was an accident). That would kill me too. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. Aaron adding onto that wasn’t needed and I loved how all it took was a few lines from Robert for Aaron to knock the crap off. Shows how far Aaron has come as well.
Guys. GUYS. Guess who is here! Troy of Midsomer Murders playing Terry Roberts! YES PLEASE. I’m assuming he is Terry Roberts but he said he was Gerry’s uncle on his mothers side which means there is a different name there HOWEVER ITS TROY and he is mad. I enjoyed seeing everyone bond and talk about Gerry. It was a nice moment until it went to hell. I mean, Terry has every right to be angry but at the same time…this family didn’t seem to care about Gerry until he was gone so whats up with that? The village, Doug, Liv and Robron seemed to care more than his family did. Maybe they will get deeper into that soon. Since he is suing.
The Little Things
- Sam and Robert smiling and hugging. What’s going on there and why do I love it so much? Also, Sam waved goodbye at Robert before he left. I want scenes of Sam and Robert hanging out together. With Lydia. PLEASE OH PLEASE SHOW!
- The matching Robron facial expressions when the village was being…well…the village when talking to Terry? That was great. That is what the show feels like to me. Its wacky and weird but there is a lot of heart under all the drama.
- Gerry and Terry. I’M IN LOVE WITH THAT JOKE.
- Diane’s reaction to the drink throwing. I loved that.
- The actress who plays Laurel is so pretty. I want all her clothes.
- TROY GUYS. TROY IS ON THE SHOW! *DANCES*
- Graham is my boyfriend now. That’s all.
- Graham being able to pull the tape off his mouth but waiting to do so will never fail to make me laugh and love Graham so much.
- Bobs reaction to the burning of his clothes cracked me up. Like the actor didn’t know how to end the scene. It was funny.
This episode was paced better, edited better and had a good flow going. I liked it a million times better than yesterdays. Yesterdays just made me want to sleep. This one keeps me interested and going. See? Like I said, always some good around the corner.
‘It’s Just Speculation!’
(I’ve lost my way with this section. I need to figure out a new ending section…any suggestions?)
