Hi everyone! Welcome to ‘Live and Organized’. Yes, this is meant to be a daily review but here I am…doing a weekly review. Why? Well, its been a rough week. I got a wisdom tooth out. Work is crazy. I kept falling asleep during the episode because of how tired I have been lately. So, this is a big WEEK IN REVIEW. I cannot claim it won’t happen again but please enjoy this look at the whole week.
Charity, Ryan and Irene
I still enjoy Charity getting to know her son that she thought was dead storyline. I know some are getting annoyed but it still holds a lot of promise for me. Ryan is very much interested in the family he never knew he had. I mean, it’s the Dingles so he might regret meeting them someday but for now, its sweet how he wants to know about people who are tied to him by blood.
Also, we got more insight into Irene. Before she was the gatekeeper to Ryan. Calling the shots. Since Ryan is an adult it always felt a bit odd. I understood to a point. She is worried about her kid being hurt badly by Charity. I get that. Ryan also is an adult who can make his own decisions. I’m glad we got to see more of her side. Irene being afraid of being alone and losing her other kid too. Which brings up some possible storylines in the future. Sure, its ok for now but when Ryan does leave the nest…what will Irene do? Hmmmm. Still, good stuff. I really enjoyed that moment between Charity and Irene after Charity helps them out. From one mother to another.
Ryan getting caught up in Barton drama was great. Even better? He held his own. Great news. If he can hold his own with the Bartons and the Dingles? He is ready for full time Emmerdale time.
I have to say. I think Debbie takes after Cain. Ryan takes after Charity. Debbie is brooding and overreacts. Ryan is a bit more sarcastic and cunning like Charity. Interesting. We have a reverse running around the village now. Next generation ahoy!
Lachlan, Rebecca and The Dingles
See? I told all of you. Rebecca isn’t dead. Why? It would have been too easy for Lachlan to kill off Rebecca. We needed her to stick around to keep Lachlan up and running. That’s fine. It leads to some rehashing for the general audience. We get some movement on the story and we get to see Lachlan in action. I feel like now that Rebecca knows everything he has ever done, she has only two choices, story wise. She can bring him down or she can die. She doesn’t have any other choices going forward. Lachlan told her everything. Like Gerry, no one can be a witness to what he has done. SPEAKING OF LACHLAN…
Damn. You have outgrown Murder Rock! You found MURDER CHAINS! Geez boy. Just had that on you? Anyway, I’m done being funny. Lachlan is creepy and really complex. He is a well-rounded villain. I have made jokes about him being Phealan 2.0 but that isn’t true. Lachlan is cool, calm, and collected. He is so cool it becomes creepy. Creepy. So creepy. Thomas is doing an amazing job and I expect HUGE fireworks.
Now, Lachlan has drank from the welly. He is cemented into the Dingles (according to Zak and his own Dingle lore). Do you know why they did that? When everything comes out it will hurt even more for them. They accepted someone into their family that has murdered before. Ok, NOT A STRETCH FOR THE DINGLES but this guy is with Belle. Their baby. FIREWORKS MY FRIENDS. They are setting up everyone for falls and its going to rock when everything comes out.
Robert, Aaron, Seb and Liv
Where to begin. WHERE TO BEGIN. Let’s begin with the fangirling and then I’ll go into ‘Positive Fairy’ mode after. So…fangirling coming up.
LOOK AT THOSE TWO IDIOTS. LOOK AT THEM! They both are planning proposals. They both asked the most important people if its ok. They both picked the place they had their first kiss! MY GOD I SHIP TWO IDIOTS THAT I ADORE EVER SO. Forever and ever amen. Seriously, its adorable how together they are even in secret proposal land. Liv and Chas both trying to help them plan. Chas is like me with Robron spoilers. I do want to know but I don’t! *HA* Liv trying to help plan it out for them. It has been one big rom com and I’m LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Yes please and thank you. I live through 2017 hell for this tooth-rotting sweetness. LET ME ENJOY IT!
Ahem. Right. Here is the positive fairy part. I think we just got a healthy dose of the show telling everyone to calm down when it comes to Robron and Rebecca. Yes, I said it. I don’t think she is a threat. In fact, she isn’t anything to them. The only connection now is Seb which is understandable. Robert connecting Seb to his own childhood. A son without a mother. He doesn’t want that. So, he is going to make sure his kid has his mother. There is nothing romantic about it. There is nothing much to it than that.
Speaking of which, can we compare how Robert handles this now versus 2016-2017? He is very open. He tells Aaron (and the Dingles) everything he is thinking. He tells Aaron all his steps. Talks to him. Liv is even along for the ride helping him play detective. Compare this to 2016-2017. He would have kept his feelings to himself. He would have hidden what he was doing to find her. He would have hidden and made things seem worse than they are. Cause Aaron to think things that aren’t good. THAT IS WHY I LOVE ROBRON 2.0. They are in such healthier places. They are in good places.
I noticed something too. Robert gives Aaron many ‘outs’ in Thursdays episode. He tells him he doesn’t have to worry about this. Aaron says they will handle this together. No matter what. He tells him that he didn’t sign up for Seb but again, tells him that he wants all of this. Robert and Seb. He wants them both. That is why I think the moment where Robert asks Aaron to watch Seb when he goes to the shop and he says, “You don’t have to ask” and Robert does a double take, that is the moment he decided to propose again. That is when Robert knows that Aaron isn’t going to run. He is with him for better or worse. They both are. For Aaron…I think it is seeing Robert not put himself first. He is worried about his son. He is worried about Liv. He is worried about Aaron. In the past, Robert worried about himself for self-preservation, now he puts his family first (Aaron, Liv and Seb) and that might get Aaron hot for marriage. Lock that man down!
I’m very much into Robron 2.0. I’m very much into the healthy state they are in. Like I said above, “I LIVED THROUGH THE HELL THAT IS 2017 AND I’M GOING TO ENJOY THE ROM COM THAT IS 2018 ROBRON!”
Don’t stop me now! I’m having such a good time. I’m having a ball! BRING ON MONDAY AND ROBRON PROPOSAL DAY!
The Little Things
- Marlon and Jessie finally getting together. YES. I’m here for them and I enjoy them. I heard a rumor that Jessie is here to stay which makes me even happier.
- April is going to rule the world. Mark my words!
- Seb is still a cutie. That’s not new though.
- Victoria struggling with liking her husbands brother is a very good story. Let’s see it be developed slowly. I think Matty and Victoria could be a very interesting couple but I need to see it be developed slowly. Friendship to something more. That’s the fun part.
- I still mourn the possibility of Victoria and Ross. Let us bow our heads and pray.
- Robert telling Ross where Rebecca was is plot. PLOT. So, watch that space closely.
- Paddy and Chas being excited for Robert and Aaron…AWWWWWWWWW! I’M SO INTO ALL OF THIS!
- Jessie sitting with all of Aprils stuffed animals was ADORABLE. That is all.
- I want all of Jessie’s clothes. That is all.
It’s Just Speculation!
