Welcome back to Emmerdale Live and Organized! In case you haven’t been here before here is what happens. I watch the episode and write down my thoughts as it comes to me in an organized fashion. It’s like a live look inside my brain while watching Emmerdale. Not as crazy as it sounds. Unless you want it to be. *wink*
So, this will be a different kind of Live and Organized. I am away from home right now, so this is more Live and Organized: ON THE ROAD! *announcer voice* I actually watched the episodes on the road on the Britbox app. So, I will be talking about the stories that I had intense feelings over.
So, sit back and enjoy this more concentrated Live and Organized: ON THE ROAD! *BIG ANNOUNCER VOICE*
Let’s crack on!
Robron, Seb, and Liv
I figure we should start with my favorite family on Emmerdale. First off I love how Seb is already being integrated into the Dingle side of the family. Faith is already calling herself ‘Great Grandma’ and Chas liked the idea of being called Nana. Seb is being well received and it’s nice to see. It is also nice to see things don’t change. Aaron won’t do diaper changes and I understand Aaron. *snort* I love how Robert and Aaron are together on the Liv situation. In 2016, Aaron would have handled it himself and Robert would have only been brought in when it all explodes. Robert is in on the ground floor. They are a team. They are all a family. I love seeing the change.
Now for Liv. She is feeling guilty and that guilt will eat her up. There are spoilers out there for how this will end but right now she fears what she has done, what the Dingles will do to her and the fact Gabby took the fall (even though she very much to blame too). She is going to manifest these feelings in some unsavory ways. Drinking is taking center stage and I say its about time. I know some wanted the asexual storyline to take center stage, but I see her sexuality storyline ongoing. Nothing has been decided or labeled for her. She will struggle with it long past this Lisa story. Drinking can be stopped, and this story will be the one to do that.
Do you know what I noticed though? Aaron seemed worried he would be kicked out of the Dingles too. It was quick but Aaron seems nervous. Meanwhile, Robert kicks back and welcomes them to his corner of the world with the Dingles at any given storyline. *HA*
When the show makes Ross lovable to me then something went horribly wrong. Joe is nothing like Robert anymore. He has his jacket and that is about it. HE is an insecure little boy who thinks blackmail and money gets him far in life. It will help slick the life highway a bit but it isn’t true or good. I noticed that Graham told Joe that he loved Debbie and Debbie loved him but that is all over now. Joe got this weird look in his eye and then turned around to blackmail Debbie into “loving him” which is just bonkers. BONKERS. Joe, that is not how relationships work buddy. You nutter and creep. This will go two ways. Joe and Debbie truly explode and there is shrapnel or Debbie falls in love with Joe under some creepy circumstances.
As for Ross. I think his little cute moment with the dry erase board made my heart ache. He is in pain and has to go through skin graphs to get himself back to normal. Debbie caused that and she feels the guilt. Meanwhile, Ross is telling her he loves her and that someday she might too and it just broke my heart. I’d like to see more Ross than Debbie in this acid storyline. She might have initiated it but it happened to Ross and I want to see more from him.
Chas and Paddy
Sigh. What can I say about this mess that other people haven’t said. It was weak. Insulting. Pretty common for ITV shows. It seems to me, just some empirical research coming into play here, that the topic of abortion is always handled the wrong way. Its not just an Emmerdale problem, it’s a network problem. Is it the sponsors or your version of the ‘FCC’ that ruins these stories? Anyway, its messy and I don’t like it at all.
Chas confused about her decision was fine. Perfectly fine. Everyone would struggle with a decision and want to make the right one. That’s fine. However, they kept bringing in what Paddy wanted into the situation. No. In this instance, Paddy can have an opinion, but he can’t be a factor. He doesn’t have to carry the kid, deliver the kid and put his body through hell to make this kid happen. That is all Chas and because of that she should have final say and not have to worry how Paddy will feel. The minute she said, ‘Nativity’ I knew it was over. They coded in religion which was a sign post for what was coming.
I’m Pro-Choice and I was offended. However, I can’t change anything so I’m going with the flow of the story. However, I might be an ass about it for a while.
Bernice. BACK OFF LIV. She isn’t a bad kid. She is confused and lost, and your daughter has been a problem since I’ve seen her. My god. Gabby is no angel. Actually, give a damn about your kid and you would learn that.
Cain telling Aaron the smile on Seb’s face was gas was cute. Cain: The Baby Whisperer.
Ryan learned how to hold Lily! DRINKS ALL AROUND. *I plan to be drunk every night. Will make the news better. *
Rhona is still very present in Paddy’s life. Just saying.
Vanessa needs to catch a break. That is all.
‘It’s Just Speculation!’
