Welcome back to Emmerdale Live and Organized! In case you haven’t been here before here is what happens. I watch the episode and write down my thoughts as it comes to me in an organized fashion. It’s like a live look inside my brain while watching Emmerdale. Not as crazy as it sounds. Unless you want it to be. *wink*
The New Thomas-Hope Bunch?
Ok, there is a limit on what Cathy and Health should be allowed to say and do to Laurels kids. Yeah, they are angry but to attack Laurels kids? NOPE. Not cool. They didn’t do anything. Also, Brenda talking shit about Laurels kids? I don’t like it. At all. When it comes to adults and dealing with harsh breakups…kids are always off limits. Snark and hurt Laurel, Bob or even Brenda but all the kids are off the table.
Brenda looking down at Laurels kids rubs me the wrong way. Brenda also made rude comments before about the twins. Both are out of displaced anger but still…it happened, and I remember, and that is making it tough for me to be 100% on Brenda’s side. No one wins here. NO ONE.
Chas and the Inevitable
That shot of Chas standing there with the camera behind her with her friends and family and all the baby shower stuff….THAT WAS BRILLANT AND SAD. Her bright future isn’t bright at all. Not for now.
This is the type of storyline that these types of actors live for. They are seasoned pros, and it shows. I was with them with every step. I don’t even like Paddy and Chas, but I was crying along with them. The surprising Marlon and Chas scene was great too. He picked up that something was wrong and gave her that push (light push) to finally tell Paddy and relieve herself of that specific burden.
I do like they went back to the hospital to settle some fandom debate that I’ve been seeing. Showing us the scan and going deeper into what this means for Margarita and Chas. I am worried about Chas. I believe in having faith and holding on but…in this case….I’m worried she might have too much hope. When things fall apart, she is going to fall hard, and there will be significant damage. Then again, I respect Chas and her choice. That is what we do. Respect each other choices when it comes to our and other’s bodies. I sense Paddy will force his opinion in which worries me too.
Miracles happen. Especially during SSW (which is when Chas is due). *HMMMMM*
Where in the World is Amelia Spencer?
So, Amelia has been talking to someone in a chat room that could be connected to Daz? What if it’s her brother? Why not tell Kerry and Dan about this? Right now, they are making them think she could be dead. Which, I know why they are doing this but still…chat room? CHAT ROOM? Is this 2003?
WHOA. Can I come home? Can I go home? Hmmm…Benton made that distinction for a reason. HUH. Amelia was abducted? I have to say, the mystery lover in me loves this storyline. At least Amelia doesn’t look hurt or in pain. I would say its Ali and she really didn’t die (DUN DUN DUNNNN), but I doubt the show will do that. So…how does Daz fit in? What does he know?
GAH….AMELIA! This is making my mind race with possibilities.
Sarah, Joe, Debbie, and Ross
It’s so weird. I’m very into this story too. I think its because it’s about Sarah and not Debbie crying jag love triangles. Sarah is scared. She is angry. She is just a kid. I can’t image how scary that has to be for her and the Dingles. She is a fighter though, and I WANT HER TO LIVE.
I think that is why the story is working better. It’s about Sarah. I like Sarah.
Still, don’t understand Joe. I don’t know what or who he is. I’m confused by him. Ross has more personality than him. ROSS. I DON’T EVEN LIKE HIM.
Can we all say what happened by the way? The acid storyline is a bomb. Sadly. Also, Joe’s redemption storyline (IF HE HAD ONE?) was him jumping into a lake and being in the hospital for two days. That isn’t a redemption. NOT AT ALL. Seriously happy Robert got much better treatment on all fronts. Joe is still a Robert wannabe with less class and style.
Graham can stay. I love me some Graham. *purrs*
I really loved that shot of Debbie and Charity spinning at the playground. They are spinning out of control and where they land…nobody knows.
The Little Things
- I am cracking up at all the baby themed songs played during the baby shower scenes because they are inappropriate (except for Baby Love…that fits).
- That seems like a very sweet shower though with a Faith twist. I think I would be beyond overjoyed to be at that shower or be the star of the show at that shower. It looked like a lot of fun.
- Jessie Sighting. GIVE HER SOMETHING TO DO SOON! Please?
- Kill the Ross. Save the Sarah. (Think about it)
- Graham almost joined the PTA. Those moms know what’s up.
- I LOVE THE CINEMATOGRAPHY IN THIS SHOW.
- I have to say that the show has been very even lately. They are finally finding a groove again. By the way, IM is still running the show just not full time so it’s not all because of the new showrunner. It’s going to be a good transition though. That I’m sure of right now. I’m also going to miss IM. He wasn’t perfect (no one is) and he screwed up but he did a lot of good for my favorites. For that I am grateful.
