Emmerdale Not So Live but Still Organized – June 5, 2018

Welcome back to Emmerdale Live and Organized! In case you haven’t been here before here is what happens. I watch the episode and write down my thoughts as it comes to me in an organized fashion. It’s like a live look inside my brain while watching Emmerdale. Not as crazy as it sounds. Unless you want it to be. *wink*

Charity and Ryan

This whole conversation between Ryan and Charity was great. Beyond great. I loved every second of it.  I love how much Ryan is like Charity. The smart-ass comments and looks he gave her.  He is Charity’s son. I felt so sad but also happy that Ryan had a great life so far.  He had a mother who cared for him and had his back.  It makes some of the sadness go away. I don’t know. Both of them were great together and I hope he sticks around. If I read correctly, Ryan is coming to the village. I can’t wait to see him around. That conversation with Irene was great too.  She laid down some hard truths for Charity.  She has to make her choice. Seriously, my attention and my heart were really into these scenes.  I was with everyone all the way.

Robron, Liv, Lachlan, Terry and Doug OH MY (also a tiny Seb!)

Liv is home and we all can move on with her story. Will she drink? How will she handle Gerry’s funeral? What does she suspect about Lachlan? Lots of story here.  I also worry for Doug who is starting to lose it again.  I loved that hug between him and Liv. Speaking of hugs, I love how the Dingles and The Sugdens (hey Sarah…welcome back kid) were welcoming her. Not just the Dingles. That signals a major shift to me compared to the last time she disappeared and appeared. Good for you show.

Terry is totally a con artist. I’M MAKING DOUG A EXTRA BUBBLE WRAP JACKET. Extra the bubble less the pain.

I see you Seb. Being cute. I see you being a cutie. Also, you are at home eating all the donuts with your dad all because your other dad had to go and call him tubby. *wink* *adorable banter*

Where in the World is Amelia Spencer?

Oh boy.  This is getting intense. The press is involved now. DS Benton is getting suspicious of everyone now.  Dan is losing it and I don’t blame him.  I liked how he told off Noah and everyone sitting around that pub. It was time for the village to do what it does best.  Come together to save one of their own.  I was worried Daz was going to announce to the press that he was the dad but I’m glad he stuck to Uncle because at the end of the day, Dan is her father. Full stop. That’s all that matters. DNA doesn’t make a family. AHEM. Dan is just in hell so I will let that outburst go. He better backtrack later for Kerry though. Daz I don’t care about. Smack him around for all I care. Kerry though. She deserves more respect from Dan.

DS Benton is my new boyfriend. Graham is on standby.

The Ross Saga Runs On

I was desperate to not give Ross and who was connected to him a section. I wanted to ignore most of the storyline. Why? If we compare Charity/Ryan, The Dingles/Sugdens welcoming Liv home and Amelia’s disappearance…this storyline (all of it) rings so hollow. So incredibly hollow.  I’m not invested. I don’t want to get invested either.  Anyone that gets roped into this storyline goes cardboard on me.  Debbie’s screeching isn’t fun.  Ross feeling sorry for himself like he is an angel isn’t fun. It’s just…bleh. It stands out as cold and boring compared to the intrigue, the warmth and family stories going on around it.  Ross and the acid storyline is a failed storyline.  Even I can finally admit that. The positive fairy admits defeat here. This storyline sucks and I can’t wait till Mike leaves so we can move on.

The Little Things

  • I’m going to have to look at how Charity and Vanessa are operating during this storyline versus how Robert and Aaron operated during a similar storyline. There are major differences that need to be explored. Maybe not by me but I could get the convo rolling to have some constructive conversation about it.
  • I am dying to walk around this village and hang out. It might happen. Someday. Maybe.
  • Victoria and Pete? I am convinced that Paddy and Rhona are on the horizon so that works. Anything to shake things up. I won’t be getting my Rocktoria either now so…Pete and Victoria it is?
  • I LOVE HIM. Can DS Benton and Graham go out and play darts together? That would be fun!
  • That notebook was either ‘PLOT DEVICE GOTTA PLOT’ or it just meant as a one-off joke…like Rebecca.

‘It’s Just Speculation!’
