Welcome back to Emmerdale Live and Organized! In case you haven’t been here before here is what happens. I watch the episode and write down my thoughts as it comes to me in an organized fashion. It’s like a live look inside my brain while watching Emmerdale. Not as crazy as it sounds. Unless you want it to be. *wink*
Here is a fun story for everyone before this review starts. I got out of work. Ordered food. Waited for my food. Got my food. Got into comfy clothes. Got to the nice TV and clicked on today’s episode of Emmerdale on Britbox. Except, it said the episode didn’t exist. So, I clicked out and back in. Now the episode disappeared. I figured they pulled it for a second and I will catch up on Corrie while I wait. Finished all two weeks I missed of Corrie. Went back and still not there. So…Britbox…really doesn’t want me to watch this episode.
JOKES ON THEM. I ALWAYS FIND A WAY *lighting crashes in the background*
LET’S CRACK ON!
The Daz and Dan Daddy Debacle (Say that Five Times Fast)
Oh Amelia. I know. You were told the secret by a nice American sized soap device. I agree with Dan though. Biology doesn’t change anything. Dan is her dad. The man who loved her since she was born and took care of her. Raised her. Just because the blood doesn’t match doesn’t change anything. Love is love.
Anyway, that scene where Amelia jumps in front of the car because she doesn’t want Dan to kill him and go to hell was intense. I’m glad they got this out in the open because stuff like this goes on for years even decades on American soaps so I’m glad within a month they have this generally settled.
I won’t lie. I wanted Dan to beat him. Badly. Also, that last shot of the episode, I was looking and looking for Amelia when I saw the curtain move my eyes got so wide. That was a great moment for the show. Good cliffhanger. WHERE IS AMELIA? *TRY LOOKING AT CHURCH*
The Wannabe Robert and Debbie Downer
I am convinced that Joe Tate, as a character, is in limbo. Between the regime change and storylines, a little off its mark Joe is stuck in character limbo. They don’t know where or what they want to do with him yet. He screwed around with Robert and Robron. He screwed around with Cain and Debbie (god she is pathetic) and all the Dingles. Sam tried to kill him once. Yeah, all I see is someone who is trying so hard to be Robert Sugden and failing miserably. He is like Wal-Mart Tate vs Chanel Sugden.
*Them fighting words and I totally stand by it. Robert > Joe. FIGHT ME.*
Chas In Denial?
Chas has to tell Paddy before things get worse. He needs to face herself and what is going on. It’s tough. This is tough. That moment though when Chas scratched out the last date on her list…OH BOY. This is going to get worse before it gets better. Im going to speculate here. I think she will keep it up convincing even herself that her kid could survive only to have it implode on her during the wedding in July. If there is a wedding I’m still not sure about that. Just speculation on my part.
I like pale yellow for nursery or since they know it’s a girl…pale pink with a rose trim. However…yeah. This is sad. I can see being in denial though. That is something hard to comprehend. Something that you never expected. Its heartbreaking and it will just get worse. In the best soap opera way possible though.
The Little Things
- I want Vanessa’s patchwork chair in my life.
- Why is Harriet so focused on Charity and what she is going through. Not like they are friends. I guess we needed someone in Chas’s place for the time being.
- I’m really entertained by the same commercials we get only the UK versions have a different brand name and the narrator is changed to someone British or Scottish.
- I’m still waiting for Ryan. Come on buddy. Come on home to Emmerdale.
- Too much Debbie. Boo.
- I’m still in TOTAL shock that yesterday’s amazing episode was written by Sharon Marshall. LIKE…wow. A broken clock is right twice a day. Good for her! I still don’t expect much when I see her name though.
‘It’s Just Speculation!’
(I’ve lost my way with this section. I need to figure out a new ending section…any suggestions?)
