Emmerdale Not So Live but Still Organized – May 3, 2018

Welcome back to Emmerdale Live and Organized! In case you haven’t been here before here is what happens. I watch the episode and write down my thoughts as it comes to me in an organized fashion. It’s like a live look inside my brain while watching Emmerdale. Not as crazy as it sounds. Unless you want it to be. *wink*

Let’s crack on!

Robron and Liv

Gosh. So much to unpack here. Let’s start at the very beginning.

Liv’s speech was interesting. It was part truth, part deflection and part anger. She was upset she was caught. She was embarrassed for being drinking so heavily. She is angry because she feels even more violated. She knows her brother and brother in law so well she knew exactly where to hit them to make them stop trying to help her.  It hit Aaron hard. Robert seemed to take it in stride.  There were kernels of truth in there. Aaron can be self-absorbed and he was in his own head for a lot of 2017 (Liv paying the bills and cleaning The Mill for instance) and Robert was busy trying to keep himself afloat during the drama of 2017.  Liv did get left behind a bit but she wasn’t alone. Not in the slightest.

Which brings me to the talk at The Mill. I have to say those scenes were excellent. EXCELLENT. Aaron lashes out as per usual (2016 lashing as I call it) and Robert didn’t go inward. He didn’t hide away. He called Aaron out for what he said to him. What I like is, in the past, Robert would internalize what was thrown at him and it would drive his self-esteem into the ground. This time…he called Aaron out. He said what he was feeling.  Which brings me to the EXCELLENT part (other excellent part). Aaron knows this.  He corrects himself and apologizes. He remembers what he learned in therapy and uses it. Remembers to keep talking with Robert and keep figuring things out together. THAT WAS AMAZING. Those scenes played out in 2016 or 2017 would have led to disaster. Robron would have taken quite a hit.  In 2018…it didn’t even leave a mark.  They talked it out. No one hid anything, and they will keep talking and figuring out everything together.  That was amazing to see in a soap. Seriously, in my eyes, we are lucky fans.

On a vain note…what’s up with the fireplace. It had things stored in it like stage lights. *Snort* WHOOPS.

Home Farm

“When will my reflection show who I am inside?” – Graham singing that to himself as he stares at his reflection in the table or was that me? *Wink*

I won’t lie to anyone. I love the smirk Graham had while dealing with Frank.  He was keeping the secret but Frank was selling Megan to him. A reason to keep trying for her. Good job kid. I know he doesn’t know but yeah. Frank just laid out a case for Graham to keep trying with Megan. As a fan, I approve. *DUCKS FROM THE HATRED OF THE FANBASE*

So. I’m not a big Joe and Debbie fan. They do have chemistry but I’m not a shipper. I don’t hate them right now because in my eyes they are better than Dross. So, yay for that.  I loved the scene with Noah and Joe before he jumped into the water like an idiot. IDIOT BUTTMUNCH ahoy.  The two of them share a lot of the same problems.  They are (were and currently) kids who were pushed aside. Seen but not heard.  They both just want a family and want to be heard within that family. They want connection and fight for it.  They are bonding and Noah gives Joe humanity.  It might be a bit uneven but it is what it is. I think if they found a way to weave that Noah time within his scheming against random people it would even out the character a bit. That might be his biggest problem. As a character. I don’t think it’s the acting at all. Ned is great. Its just the writing and characterization is uneven. They will find it. It just takes time.

Belle and Lachlan

Belle is going off the deep end. Poor girl.  She is so scared and no one is noticing how freaked out she is. I know she has scenes coming up with Aaron so that will be great to watch.  As I said to Vix, Aaron can’t help Liv right now but he can help Belle. So, that will be great to watch. Lachlan…whatever. *snort*

Priya trying to make the brewery a real business is great. She isn’t wrong though. That place isn’t sanitary enough. I’m here for Priya and Belle running a brewery. Lachlan -who? I’m being a brat but if he kills Gerry or hurts him in anyway…WE WILL BE HAVING FICTIONAL WORDS.

The Pub Crew

LYDIA LYDIA LYDIA! My heart. My love. She is awesome and is hanging out and covering for Charity. Visiting the brewery to talk to Lachlan and Belle. I love her. LOVE HER.

Chas is still having those early trimester baby blues. Good to know. No bump yet though. Then again, her shirts are super loose.  I’ve noticed Chas doesn’t wear makeup anymore to make herself look sicker.

Charity was off stalking Bails, wasn’t she? Ok then. Maybe she was pulling a Harriet the Spy on us. *Snort* NO. That would be me.

‘It’s Just Speculation!’
