Emmerdale Not So Live but Still Organized – May 2, 2018

Welcome back to Emmerdale Live and Organized! In case you haven’t been here before here is what happens. I watch the episode and write down my thoughts as it comes to me in an organized fashion. It’s like a live look inside my brain while watching Emmerdale. Not as crazy as it sounds. Unless you want it to be. *wink*

Let’s crack on!

This episode had so many characters so the categories will be more general this time around.

The Pub Crew

Tracy is good at figuring out a lot of things lately but what Bails is like? Ok then. I mean, I’m glad it’s not something hanging over Megan’s head. Tracy shares the burden but yeah. I’m still a Graham/Megan shipper. I don’t hate Frank. He was cute today while he celebrated but yeah. I don’t really buy Megan and Frank since the other betrayal back in the day.

I love how Charity plays “mother” now after not paying attention to Noah. Poor kid is confused by it.  It takes Joe taking an interest in him and caring about him for Charity to be a mother.  Everyone is selfish in their own ways, and Noah is in the middle. Where did the apple watch come from by the way? Joe? Make sense. Wait, well, I think Joe does want to get to know Noah, but I don’t trust him after all the crap he has pulled.

Robron and the OBVIOUSLY Train

Robert and Aaron giving Liv hugs were great to see. Good to see them back on screen. Back in the family mode. That’s always lovely to see. So, about the drinking.  Obviously, this has been a thing for a long time. I’m losing it over here because it’s not suddenly. She has been drinking for awhile away from her friends. However, how I look at kids drinking underage is very American versus what is expected of the British. SO, I can see how Robert and Aaron didn’t notice anything.  We can also claim that they have been a bit distracted lately. Between all the relationship getting back together, Little lovely Seb and business issues, I can see how Liv and her problems fell through the cracks. I have reservations, but I will let it go for the plot.

Kat and I talked about this, but I’m writing it here. Aaron is the friend parent. The one that wants to be the good cop. Robert is the bad cop. The one that must make sure the homework’s done and making sure the kids follow a curfew. That makes them one hell of a team. Now they are both aware of what has been going on I’m sure they will come up with a plan.  I’m convinced more than ever that Liv is getting onto a better path in the detention center.

Home Farm

Graham and his bitterness with Joe still cracks me up. I know people are upset that Robert and Aaron weren’t put up for Best Partnership, but I do like to watch Joe and Graham talk. They have a very interesting partnership.  Joe has power over Graham until Graham’s experience and age takes over, and Graham runs the show. The two of them are struggling with power over each other, and it will explode one day. Also, Graham thought he found something with Megan and now he is sad about that. Joe might have found family with Noah, and I sense that won’t end well. What I’m saying is, a lot is going on with this partnership, and I see why the show put it up.

I’d rather Robert and Aaron be up for partnership when both will be at the show and also after they had a good run of episodes. The breakup and everything after were really interesting and well-acted (in hindsight) but its dark and a hard sell to a panel. Joe and Graham might be easier.

The Little Things

Misty is cracking me up.  They are pushing her further into the village by having her talk to others outside the family.  I mean, is she staying? I’m ok with it. I want to say something else about Misty, but I’m holding back because I know it will upset people. I don’t want to do that.

Brenda is still having a hen night. Interesting. This wedding better be one big HUGE EXPLOSION of drama. I love weddings that explode with confessions and drama. That is soapy and its old school. Don’t let me down Emmerdale!
